Joaquin Jurado

I came to this world in September 1971 in the city of eternal spring, Cuernavaca, Morelos.

Throughout my life, I have been in constant harmony with art. I was born the grandson of the great Mexican actress Katy Jurado. And from my puberty, artistic musical and pictorial qualities began to emerge.

From winning poetry awards to entering singing academies in CDMX.

I always liked to imitate singers, accompany trios and mariachis at family gatherings.

I entered CEA (Center for Artistic Education) to polish my skills in theater, television and film.

They were 16 years singing professionally, specializing in romantic ranchero ballads, where I achieved international recognition.

Due to life circumstances, I stopped singing. But the call to art did not go away. One day of family visit, my two nephews were painting"watercolors"for the grandmother, it caught my attention and I sat down with them to paint. Leaving the family meal, I went straight to a stationery store to buy a drawing pad and some watercolors, at that moment my journey began ...

In recent years, I have studied art history and various biographies of different authors.

I have a huge passion for Van Gogh, abstract art, decorative art. Exploring with oil, pastel, watercolor, acrylic and charcoal.

My main engine is the figurative abstract, action painting and impressionism.

I find my inspiration in many artists, some of them are:Jackson Pollock, Picasso, Vincent Van Gogh, Dalí, Tamayo, Jose Luis Cuevas, Alejandro Santiago and Toledo.

I am very excited to connect with you with stories and emotions through my art.

Welcome to my world.
